1. Teachers must register their team via the reservecup.org web site. Limit one team per school.

2. There is a limit of 15 teams per state. The first 15 teams registered and filling out a COMPLETE registration form will be accepted in to the Challenge competition. All other entries will unfortunately have to wait till next year.

3. A school team must be comprised of 4 members and 1 alternate.

4. Every school team must have a teacher acting as the supervisor.

5. School must compete in the webcast as scheduled. Webcasts can take place after school. Webcasts will last no more than thirty minutes.

6. Should a team not participate in the scheduled webcast they will forfeit the competition and not be eligible to continue in the Reserve Cup Tournament.

7. All team supervisors/Teachers will be informed of time and date of the webcast via e-mail at least 2 weeks prior to webcast.

8. Each webcast will involve only the 15 teams from your state. Each state will have their own independent webcast.

9. There will be 10 multiple choice questions asked during the webcast. Each correct answer will be worth 10 points. The student team must decide on their answer and submit it via the voting option on the webcast page. There will be 1 minute for the students to submit their answer. The moderator will inform the student team when the 1 minute is up and no responses will be accepted after.

10. The first webcast or elimination round will have the teams with the top 5 teams from the state which score the highest amount of points moving on to the semi-final round or second web cast.

11. The same rules and scoring procedures will apply in the semi-final elimination webcast, with the team achieving the highest score winning the right to represent their state at the 2010 Reserve Cup Challenge Championship in Boston. If there is a tie in the second webcast, of the teams that are tied, the team with the most combined points in the first and second webcast will move on to the finals. If there is still a tie, then there will be a sudden death question asked of each of the remaining tied teams.

12. There will be no more than two weeks between the two webcasts.

13. Scores will be posted the next day on the reservecup.org web site.

Webcast Rules
